Nestled in the French Riviera’s radiant embrace, Saint-Tropez awaits a spectacular gathering’s arrival. From 23. – 29. April, the 11th edition of Les Dames de Saint-Tropez will unfold, a regatta that has become a beacon of female empowerment and excellence in the world of sailing. In this idyllic setting, where the Mediterranean kisses the sun-drenched shores, we are not just hosting a sailing event; we are celebrating a revolution in the seas.
This year’s event is especially significant, following the remarkable milestone reached in 2023, when almost every second yacht boasted an all-female crew, a powerful testament to the rising tide of women in sailing. Limited to just 20 yachts and crews, including iconic classic boats like Hallowe’en or Mariska, both built by the famous William Fife III, Les Dames de Saint-Tropez is an exclusive stage where the prowess and elegance of women sailors are not just showcased but revered.
Each day of our almost week-long program is an ode to these extraordinary women. Their stories are not just about navigating the waters but charting a new course in a traditionally male-dominated realm. “Les Dames de Saint-Tropez” is a popular sailing competition held in Saint-Tropez, France. This regatta brings together around 20 traditional sailing yachts, primarily crewed by women, including seasoned competitors and notable sailors. The event features races and social gatherings, celebrated for their combination of sportiness, elegance, and a friendly atmosphere. It is a standout event for honouring women in sailing, both for their skill on the water and for fostering a sense of community and empowerment among female sailors.
